The global cellular network subscription market is expected to grow at a significant CAGR during the forecast period. The growing popularity of smartphones, dongles, tablets, iPhones, and iPads is expected to drive the global cellular network subscription market. It is determined by the network's availability, data, and costs to be paid for data consumption, and other extra services supplied by cellular network subscription sector participants. Operators provide two sorts of subscriptions: pre-paid and post-paid. The prices for calling, data, and other services change between pre-paid and post-paid plans.

The growing usage of smartphones and applications has enhanced the consumer's reliability. This dependence may have a significant influence on the cellular network subscription industry. The introduction of 4G is likely to accelerate its expansion. One of the key factors is expected to be the cost and availability of mobile data. With increased data traffic globally, cellular-based M2M is providing a connectivity procedure among various sim-enabled equipment to allow access across different wireless networks. Many companies will include cellular M2M value-added services in a 5G connection sim to maintain operational efficiency and avoid losses associated with operational breaches. The 5G network will enable new technological developments such as the Internet of Things (IoT), outdoor autonomous robots for agriculture, among others.

In June 2019, the announcement of BSNL's collaboration with Tata Motors allowed it to transform its vehicles, including the Tiago, Hexa, and SUV Harrier, into smart cars. BSNL has partnered with Tata Motors in a first-of-its-kind machine-to-machine (M2M) communications agreement in which the state-owned Telco will supply embedded SIM cards to turn the automaker's vehicles into smart automobiles. Furthermore, In March 2021, AT&T has introduced fixed 5G wireless solutions to its nationwide business-focused broadband network, which blends AT&T Wireless Broadband with their growing corporate fibre network. The commercial fibre network connects more than 2.5 million corporate client locations across the country to fixed and wireless solutions, and the advent of 5G is expected to accelerate growth.
