GitLab Adds New Technology to Its Global Partner Program

Published: Jun 2021

GitLab is an open DevOps platform, built from the ground up to be a single programme for all stages of the DevOps lifecycle, allowing Product, Improvement, QA, Safety, and Operations teams to collaborate on the same problem at the same time. Throughout the DevOps lifecycle, GitLab provides a single knowledge store, a single user interface, and a single authorization model. This allows groups to significantly reduce cycle times via more efficient communication and increased focus.

GitLab Inc., a company that offers a single platform for the DevOps lifecycle, has announced the expansion of its Global Partner Program with additional technology partner integrations and a new GitLab Certified Services Partner Program. The Companies Program includes badges such as Licensed Skilled Companies Associate (PSP) and Licensed Coaching Associate (CTP), to help new and existing partners create service portfolios for GitLab clients across the DevOps lifecycle. Over the last few years, DevOps usage has exploded—and it's still growing.

According to GitLab's 2021 DevSecOps study, many developers are attempting to include AI/ML and security into their talent units. GitLab's technology partners and Open and Choose partners are critical in supporting customers through their digital transformation journeys, with the same study finding that more partners than ever are assisting customers in setting developer objectives.

What the program offers

The GitLab Partner Program enables current and future partners, such as systems integrators, cloud platform partners, resellers, distributors, managed service providers, and ecosystem partners, to maximise the value of their DevOps expertise and the GitLab platform for their clients. Since its last update on the 2020 GitLab Commit, GitLab's customer event, the system has expanded, and GitLab's inner channel team has developed, with several projects and programmes introduced to help partners succeed, such as the Partner Locator. Associate Locator, which was launched in November, assists customers in finding the right companion for their needs.

Furthermore, GitLab's inaugural Global Associate Summit, held in February, drew a throng of enthusiastic registrants from all around the world for live interactive sessions on gross sales, service enablement, and engagement.

“As businesses embrace DevOps and strive to stay competitive in today's market, they're realising that their software development, administration, and security procedures must evolve,” said Michelle Hodges, vice chairman, international channels at GitLab. “We value our partner relationships and are focused on reinvesting in partners that spend money on GitLab. The GitLab Associate Program, particularly our new Companies Program, enables partners to be an integral part of their customers' construction of a successful DevSecOps strategy that achieves the full value of their GitLab investment,” he continued.
