The global dental syringes market is anticipated to grow at a considerable CAGR of 5.3% during the forecast period (2024-2031). In recent years, the increasing prevalence of oral diseases due to changing life style, increased adoption of an unhealthy diet, and poor oral care has propelled the demand for dental syringes. According to the WHO Global Oral Health Status Report (2022), oral diseases affected nearly 3.5 billion people globally, with 3 out of 4 people affected living in middle-income countries. An estimated 2 billion people suffer from caries of permanent teeth and 514 million children suffer from caries of primary teeth around the globe. As a result, many countries have increased investments in product development and direct expenditure for the treatment of oral diseases. According to the WHO, the total direct expenditure for oral diseases among 194 countries amounted to $387 billion or global average of about $50 per capita in 2019. This represents about 4.8% of global direct health expenditures. The inequalities of oral health expenditures are striking, and differences among countries are very prominent. The average per capita expenditure in low-income countries is $0.5, whereas high-income countries spend an average of $260 per capita 500 times more. The single highest total amount is spent in the US with $134 billion, followed by China with $61 billion; both combined represent a 51% share of all direct costs around the globe.
