  • In August 2024, three new subsea cable projects were launched in India. The projects include 2Africa Pearls, India-Asia-Express (IAX), and India-Europe-Express (IEX). 2Africa subsea cable went live in 2024, while IAX, and IEX are expected to be operational by March 2025. The projects connects the country to the globe through multiple submarine cable systems, such as the Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe (SEA-ME-WE) system, the Bay of Bengal Gateway (BBG) system, and the India-Middle East-Western Europe (IMEWE) system.
